Moroccan logistics startup Colis.ma has secured $300,000 in pre-seed funding. The investment came from Witamax, a private-backed venture capital firm, and is aimed at helping the company expand its presence across Morocco’s key regions and parts of Europe. Colis.ma also has plans to extend its reach further into Africa, starting with West Africa. The company is preparing for another fundraising round in early 2026 to solidify its position in the logistics sector.
Colis.ma focuses on cross-border logistics, primarily serving individuals with family ties between Morocco and Europe, as well as small and medium-sized businesses. The businesses they serve operate in industries like cosmetics, artisanal goods, and organic products. By providing reliable logistics services, Colis.ma helps these companies reach customers across Europe. The startup has already delivered over 50,000 parcels to 55 destinations in six European countries.
Founded by Issam Darui in 2022, Colis.ma has grown significantly since its inception. In just under two years, the company has reported fivefold growth, with a 380% increase in Annual Recurring Revenue in 2023. This growth is a reflection of the company’s efforts to become a leading player in the logistics market. Darui has outlined the company’s goal of becoming a key player in logistics between Africa and Europe, using technology to transform the sector.
Before securing the $300,000, Colis.ma had already raised $50,000 from The Baobab Network, an African investor, after joining their accelerator program. In addition, the startup won a $45,000 grant in February 2024. The funds have enabled Colis.ma to improve its operations and better serve its clients, with plans to expand geographically and improve service quality.
However, Colis.ma isn’t the only player in Morocco’s logistics space. Logidoo, another startup in the logistics market, has been operating since 2019 and raised $1.55 million in seed funding in February 2024. Logidoo offers logistics services and real-time parcel tracking. In July 2024, the company received a $50,000 grant to further develop AI solutions for Africa’s logistics market, aimed at simplifying transport operations.
With the new funds, Colis.ma is now looking to strengthen its presence in Morocco and Europe, while also preparing to expand into new markets in Africa. The startup is focused on providing innovative, technology-driven solutions to meet the evolving needs of the logistics sector.
