Over the years, women have been doing well in tech and it is evident in the way they have been successful in making their tech startup progressive and highly rated. While discussing women in tech and women tech founders, African women are no exception in this discourse as they have also and still contributing greatly to the tech space.
Below is the list of thirty outstanding African female founders who are inspiring the younger generation.
1. Damisi Busari
Damisi is a former Flutterwave executive who had keen interest in computer. This motivation led her to study an IT and Business Information course at Middlesex University, United Kingdom. She is the CEO and founder of fintech startup, SendSprint.
2. Kagure Wamunyu
Kagure is a Kenyan Civil Engineer thatgraduated from the University of California, Berkeley. She is the CEO and co-founder of Jumba, a construction tech startup that is simplifying purchase and financing of construction materials in Africa.
3. Maya Horgan Famodu
Maya is a graduate of Pomona College where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. She is the co-founder and managing director of Ingressive Capital, a venture capital firm, that targets African tech startups.
4. Tarneem Saeed
